Moving conversations about African literature beyond the map of English, Zaahida Nabagereka in conversation with Victoria Adukwei Bulley, Hanna Ali, Lily Green (No Bindings) and Dzekashu MacViban (Bakwa) explores practical and emotional implications of literary translation and publishing in African languages.  Bringing together writers and publishers with experience of working across and between languages from Somali to Kinyarwanda to French, this panel will reflect on multilingualism and its relationship to African experience, as well as the ways in which digital technologies and collaborative practice open up new publishing and reading opportunities.

In partnership with Afrikult and University of Bristol.
