Africa Writes 2021 Tickets

There are a number of ticket options available. Advance booking is strongly recommended. Please see below for more information and online booking links. You can also purchase tickets over the phone by calling the British Library Box Office on +44 (0)1937 546546.

The festival programme is a hybrid model of digital and in-person events. The digital events are free (while accepting donations) and you can book your place for those individual events on the event page itself. This page is dedicated to our events at The British Library and 180 The Strand.

Concessions are available for all tickets. Royal African Society Members get £2 off tickets and Royal African Society Arts & Culture Members get 50% off tickets, both types of discounts are eligible for events held at The British Library. Our online events are free (while accepting donations) and the in-person event at 180 The Strand is on a pay what you can model.


Saturday 23 October Day Pass £12

This pass gets you into all events on Saturday held at the British Library. The evening headline event Inherited: All Our Names is included in the pass. This pass allows for digital and in-person access to the festival.
