Join us as we celebrate literature, thought and culture from Africa and the African diaspora at Africa Writes – Exeter. Enjoy readings, performances, workshops, film and discussion across three-days at multiple venues across the city.

Africa Writes – Exeter is a friendly, welcoming festival which offers an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, discover new voices, and gain insight into the rich tapestry of African storytelling. We’re so excited to hold the festival in Exeter for the third year, and hope to see you there!

Africa Writes – Exeter is brought to you by the Royal African Society and Saseni! working in partnership with the University of Exeter, local independent bookshop Bookbag, and creative hub Roots Resistance.
