What’s your African book to inspire?

Do you want to feature on the #Africawrites blog? You can if you share your book of inspiration with us!

In the lead up to our live African Books to Inspire evening, hosted by journalist Hannah Pool, we want to know which books by African authors have inspired people the most (for good or bad). We are collecting contributions for a special blog series that will feature on the Africa Writes website between May and July.

Our first contribution was by broadcast journalist Zeinab Badawi

We want YOU to take part too!

To participate all you need to do is to submit your answer to our quick question by one of the following ways:

1. Send us a 30 second – 2 minute video explaining your book of choice (preferably as a Youtube link)
OR
2. Send us up to 200 words explaining your book of choice (preferably complete with a lovely picture of you holding your book of inspiration)

Note: don’t forget to clearly provide your name, job title and organisation (the latter two if you wish them to be displayed)

If you are keen to take part please send your own contribution to africawritesldn@gmail.com by Friday 15 May.

We can’t wait to watch/read your contributions!

Want to take part in the live version on Friday 3 July too? Book your tickets online.
