Poetry & Mathematics: Workshop for Young Adults

Poetry & Mathematics: Workshop for Young Adults
Saturday 6 July, 14:15 – 15:45
British Library Knowledge Centre, Eliot Room

Create poetry out of mathematical data, and find inspiration from unlikely places with Keisha Thompson.

In this workshop, poet Keisha Thompson will show you how she turns mathematical references into creative inspiration. In her solo show Man on the Moon, Keisha takes all sorts of fiendishly complicated scientific processes like SUVAT equations, Fibonacci sequences and detailed graphs and turns them into something beautiful. Creating art, music and poetry out of the data, she’ll encourage you how to find creative inspiration in the most unlikely of places.

Aimed at young people aged 16+.

Spaces are limited, please reserve your place on: bit.ly/AW2019YoungAdults

Included in Weekend Pass and Saturday Day Ticket.
