Africa Writes returns this summer at the British Library, and we are building a team of committed and interested volunteers who are passionate about African literature. As a volunteer you’ll learn more about the Royal African Society as an organisation, be involved in some exciting programmes and events, and get an opportunity to meet like-minded people. Many of the programme staff started their involvement with the festival as volunteers!
Our volunteers tell us that the experience is valuable for gathering skills, having fun and meeting new people (and amazing writers)!
Applications for Africa Writes 2019 are now open. If you would like to volunteer, please send a covering letter and CV to Marcelle Akita on firstname.lastname@example.org. The deadline is Thursday 18 April.
Africa Writes is also returning to Bristol this summer and looking for dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers to help promote and share our passion for African literature in the South West. Running from 29th June to 4th July, this is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the delivery of a varied programme of events and activities taking place across the city at venues including Malcolm X Community Centre, The Cube and Waterstones.
Applications for Africa Writes-Bristol 2019 are now open. If you would like to volunteer, please send a covering letter and CV to Kate Wallis on email@example.com. The deadline is Wednesday 29 May.
