Join the team in Bristol!
Africa Writes usually takes place each summer at the British Library in London. But this year the festival is travelling across the South West, Midlands and Wales, and on the weekend of 6 and 7 October will be coming to Bristol!
Working with several different organisations in Bristol, over two days, we present an exciting series of events of contemporary African literature and thought. With a vibrant programme of book launches, panels, family activities, workshops, and a poetry night, the festival showcases the best new writing from the continent and the diaspora. Volunteering is a great way to learn more about African literature, have fun and meet new people (and amazing writers)!
